General / Rpi 3 Attract Mode v0.5 - Setting up Shaders

Hello,
I am completetly new to Retropie & Attract Mode and, however, starting to build a Arcade Bartop machine with a RPi3 and latest Retropie with Attract Mode version.
However I saw that on Retroarch there are some Shaders available to be configured when using standard LCD monitors (mine is 19") which I want to use.
Can someone quickly explain how to set this up with my Attract Mode version?
How do I switch to the Retroarch configuration and get back to Attract Mode?
How do I switch over to Emulation Station and is this needed here at all?
