So I've not been able to get my own .ini working or filters in general the way I want them to work so instead I made each section a separate emulator.

So Vertical Schmups, Beat em Ups, Classic, etc are all their own emulators, with their own rom folder, pulling art from a central area. It works out great.

I am using MAME2003. All the roms start ok and but I can't seem to get any catver.ini data to show up in the filter options.

@akafox

I made one and in Additional Import Files I have:
/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/cav/Catver.ini;/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/cav/Swags.ini
Then I generate collection and the custom headings I've made don't show up in Filters to add.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I want to create my own .ini like Cavter.ini and use it to create separate rom filters. Is this possible? How do I get my headers to show up under filter?

put your video in SNAP folder

Thanks.

One more issue. I am trying to get a generic emulator logo as the marquee so the system name shows up somewhere on the page.

I've tried my-own which just put arcade on all of them. And also emulator name which did nothing.

What is the setting I am looking for in Nevato and where do I place the files if I want to make my own system specific marquees?

Great layout but for the life of me I can't figure out where to put video to get the background to work.

I have it set to video and I made a video directory in the roms specific folder and added the path to video in emulator config but it simply is mirroring the image I am using in the cab.

Where am I supposed to put video?
