General / Configuration Menu and Exit Overlay are wrong resolution.

I have been struggling with a Debian install of attract mode. I am working on a vertical display setup and everything was working find in horizontal orientation, but as soon as I changed orientations all the displays became the wrong size. I was able to get my display layouts to render at the proper resolution by hard coding the resolution in the layout files, but the configuration menu and the exit screen seem to extend off of the screen vertically and does not fill the screen horizontally. I am unable to find any config files where I can hard code the resolution for the menus if such a file exists. Anyone have any advice?
