General / AM and Xin-Mo Joystick Compatibility

So I got my Xin-Mo board and wired it up -- works great in MAME, but when I go to set the joystick up and down to run the frontend, AM just kind of goes "huh?" and ignores the microswitch press. Is it not compatible, is there a workaround? I'm SOOO CLOOOSE!!!

General / Download error on new version?

I just tried to grab and install the new version of AM for Mac.  When I click on the file to mount the DMG to the Finder, it gives me a garbled dialog with a warning that running this may make my computer ... (this is the line that's garbled) slow or nonresponsive? I think? Either way it's tripping something in OSX.  I'm on OSX Yosemite.  Can't wait to get it running tho!

General / Names vs. Filenames?

Hi!

I'm moving my MAME stuff from my laptop to another machine.   On my laptop, when I load AM, i get a nice list of the names of the games.  On the new machine (older vintage of Mac, same OS - Yosemite) I get a list of the file names.  I did scape artwork from the new ones, that's the ONLY thing I did differently on the new machine -- is this a setting I can change somewhere?  I like having the names more than the filenames --- more descriptive, y'know?

It is on Fillscreen (default) and it's still happening -- I did read the whole thread first and tried all of that Thanks!

I'm having a similar issue in 10.10.4 -- AM is in a fullscreen mode in the menu system, but when I click on a game to run it, it pops up the dock to show the terminal/exe icon, and the menu bar and window top (stoplight, etc) pops up at the top of the screen. I'm not very good with code, so if it's going to be addressed in the next build I'll just wait, but I wanted to let you know!
