AHA!  Perfect!

The second part was what I was missing.  It was set to go to the last one used.  You're a wealth of knowledge.  Thank you.

Ok, apologies if this is answered elsewhere.  I searched and didn't find what I was looking for.

Here's what I'd like to do:  Have AM boot to a Robospin display that has the consoles in the wheel, for example, the icons for Atari 2600, Atari 5200, etc.  Select a console and have it go to that display.  Is this possible?  How do I set it up?

I'm working out the setup on the PC version, but I'll be moving configs, art, roms, etc to a Raspberry Pi using AM with Hyperpie once it's all ironed out.

Thanks!

That's so weird, I went into Displays>Arcade>Layout Options and changed it from "wheel" to "vert_wheel" and it started working.  I went back and checked and now the path is mixed-case.

Not sure what happened there but it's all good now.

I swear it was all caps before and now it isn't.  I assumed it was just a font quirk in AM and that it was as it should be in the config file.  I don't know.  Any way, it's working great now, just need to copy all the roms back to the Arcade folder.  Here's hoping they all fall in line as they should!

Thanks for the help, bud!  :)

First off, thank you for taking the time to respond.   :)

Under Configure>Emulators>Arcade:
my rom path is: /HOME/PI/RETROPIE/ROMS/ARCADE
my wheel>artwork path is /HOME/PI/RETROPIE/ROMS/ARCADE/WHEEL

In roms/arcade I have altbeast.zip
In roms/arcade/wheel I have altbeast.png

I even removed all roms and wheel art except Altered Beast and that's the only game showing up in Arcade now, so I know I'm looking at the right folder.

I've attached an image of what the screen looks like.

Suggestions?

I'm setting up a bartop machine using HyperPie with Attract mode.  I've set the Arcade display to Robospin, and /roms/arcade/wheel directory is loaded with images.  The screen and marquee change in Attract Mode, and I see the rocket pointer on the right hand side, but there is no "wheel" of images.  Changing the game makes the rocket pointer execute a little "thrust" animation.  What do I need to do to enable the wheel, or where do I need to add the images?

I'm using HyperPie 2, but I'm not sure where to find the Attract Mode version.

Thanks!
