General / Strange issue when every game starts

I have my AM build working great, but every game starts invisible, except for the thin outline of the game screen until I move my mouse. When I move the mouse the game starts up and plays fine. It doesn't matter what game or emulator. I've even tried the whole build (about 600gigs) on a different external drive and a different computer (both using Windows 7 64bit). One has a GeForce GT 550 card (with an i7 2600k and 16gigs of ram) and the other is a laptop (also i7) using the embedded video. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I did some searching but didn't find anything.
