General / weird issue with the pause button on mame
« on: April 09, 2020, 05:57:52 AM »
I'm in the process of getting my long idle mame cabinet upgraded and back in working order. I've got a new PC running windows 7 (don't ask what the old PC was running).
Mame has been upgraded from 0.200 to 0.219
Attract Mode has been upgraded from 2.3 to 2.6
When I start any game, and then press the pause button, my mame game window shrinks and becomes non-responsive.
On the attract mode console I see the following message:
! Unexpectedly lost focus to: attract-console.exe (5528 {or whatever the process ID number is})
I did not have this issue with Attract 2.3, so I obviously have either mis-configured something (although I have no idea what) or there is a bug somewhere.
When I run the same game with the same mame command line arguments (while not using AM), the pause button works correctly, so I think AM is involved in this problem somehow.
