I used Floob's recent image. I was always fine when I used it for the xbox 360 controller. Its when I used it with the arcade cabinet I have that caused it go crazy when I would exit the game it would it select it again or scroll like crazy etc.
I was able to make it stable now. I don't know if this helps anyone that is having the same issue. On ES I would make sure the xbox360 is disabled if not going to be using it. Go into a game from each emulator your using and set your controls. I set my hot key and exit key as the same. When you exit at first it will still go wack. But after I delete old retroarch file and rename the new one created. Usually after this if I start up any game again for that emulator it will work fine and exit with no real issues.

Has anyone set up attract mode for a cocktail cabinet?
For cocktail the tv screen is vertical
I know in options u can change display and rotate so menu appears vertical

Is there a way to get this working on mame?
Do you have to use a particular mame? Is any tv/monitor going to work or you have to get a certain kind? I go to options on mame the flip option works fine but stays the same. Even when switched to cocktail it doesn't rotate

Yea I can send it over. Email me at mpirchalamhl@gmail.com

I notice when selecting emulator and where it has exit hot key I leave this blank. Notice this causes problems if u set it the games won't load.

What I do and I'm sure there is a better way lol but works for me. If u have the same controller the select key on top works as hot key for retro arch so as default it's select and player one start to exit. What I do access retro arch menu hit select and one of the key buttons to access menu. Go to input and settings. I change to 2 controllers. Change the hot key exit to the exit button instead. Make sure u save controls as new config. Then on PC just delete retro arch file and rename ur new config as retroarch. Again probably easier way to do but that his it works for me.

It worked on version 4 but has problems where keeps restarting. Use version 2 on here of floobs image. I have yet to run to any problems. Will just need to copy directories he has on new one to add the other emulators.

You can also set hot key in retro arch menu as the exit key.

Shoot me an email I don't mind sharing what I have

I just got it to work. It's weird I use Floobs image I have 2 rpi3 one on my tv the other in my arcade. The TV one I use Xbox 360 controllers and works no problem. It's the arcade one that I have problems. I have it set one button to exit. Using xtension arcade joystick from recroommasters with trackball. The exit key works but after it exits comes to front end and will just restart game. I will exit multiple times and sometimes stops or when run command comes up I hit key and scroll down to exit which usually works. I just tried previous version of floobs image and the second version works just fine. Version 4 I still can't get to works. Sucks cause version 4 has more layouts and emulators.

On the marquee. For ones that do not have a marquee you have an auto default. Is there a way to put an auto default for each emulator like the Arcade one now? Like the NES ones don't use marquee can each one on there show a default NES marquee. Then the Genesis have its own default etc

Will you be adding PC Engine/Turbo Grafix 16 to the list. That folder is empty

Anyone add the mame4all? If can provide link for executable of emulator would appreciate thanks

It's all I use since advmame 0.94 does not want to work in AM, works perfect in ES though.

executable           /opt/retropie/emulators/mame4all/mame
args                 [name]
rompath              /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-mame4all/
romext               .zip;.7z;<DIR>
system               Arcade
info_source          listxml

This worked! Thank you sir
Got Mame2003 Mame4All FBA and NEOGEO working

Very nice work love it. I have an arcade I bought but was using a PC now I can just use the PI

I was wondering when it boots up it takes you to a menu and you have to hit left or right to get the wheels for each emulator. Anyway to start it up on an emulator or to remove the menu all together?

Layout is real nice for wheels marquee snaps and easy to update. There are some roms that I have to have in folder to get them to work. Is there any way to have the layout display just the roms that have wheel art or snap art and hide all that do not.

I see you can add emulators and change executable. On emulation station some games had to be changed on what emulator you use. Is there a link to where the other mame emulator is. I don't know how to locate the location

Thank You great work
