Themes / Re: Looking for a theme showing snaps but not wheel images
« on: January 14, 2019, 03:12:35 PM »
Almost all the themes that I have done have the option of playlists without wheels ... and some are designed not to use wheels ... you just have to search here:

This theme I loved, but what I did not like was that the wheel disappears, it could be possible to stay the wheel and with sound every time you pass game.

You can put the sounds yourself in Attract-Mode, and my wheel will not disappear...

Well, i continue with my version 4: 3 for the pi, and i will tell you that, instead of using your layouts, i chose to code from scratch, since i wanted something simpler than your version, which has all the options in the world global ... i need little complex themes for a project that i have in the process of making an img of Lakka with Attract-Mode and RetroArch ...

So i will open a new thread for my theme, if it is not annoying.

If you want to add it later and / or adapt it to your Hyperpie, for me there is no problem ...

Ok, that's awesome. I will probably steal your cropped background images and snap positioning when you are done :)

Yes, as it is said in my land: "eso te lo dejaré a punto de caramelo..."

And this from the general layout io_pi_refried (Sony PlayStation):

I am working on a theme that complements the excellent work of calle81 with its Refried Theme, but only for resolutions of 4:3, and using few resources, specially designed for the Raspberry Pi.

It is based on the original Refried Theme for Launchbox by retrohumanoid.

It will allow to use animated videos or fixed snapshots.

For the moment, some screens of the project in progress.

These would be from the menus io_pi_refried_menu:

Scripting / Re: shuffle-module: First official release
« on: January 07, 2019, 06:13:55 PM »
There is improvement in functionality. New version supports preserve-art module. Good thing about GitHub is your free to view/use at any point in history.

I find it very good, but I do not find it useful to preserve art module. I do not need it.  8)

I do not see the improvements anywhere and the code will be clearer for some... not for me, besides you say it yourself: "It works no better than before." ;D

I will continue using the old one, which works very well, allows objects and animations...  8)

That something works, the best thing is not to touch it... :D

Well, i will continue using the old module, at least until i see a complete practical example. I do not intend to waste my time doing tests until i find the correct way to apply the new module... Besides, i am one of those who think that something works, the best thing is not to touch it... :D

Now if someone translates this to the new module, then i will be grateful:

Code: [Select]
local flxl = flx*0.4805;
local flwl = flw*0.5016;
local flhl = flh*0.0315;
local bfy  = 0.1825;
local rows =20;

local list = Shuffle(rows, "text", "[Title]");

for(local i=0; i<rows; i++)
{
list.slots[i].set_pos(flxl, fly*bfy, flwl, flhl);
bfy = bfy + 0.0252;
}

class ShufflePow extends Shuffle
{
function select(slot)
{
slot.visible = true;
}

function deselect(slot)
{
slot.visible = false;
}
}

local flxp = flx*0.4705;
local flwp = flw*0.5313;
local flhp = flh*0.0495;
local pfy = 0.177;

local pow = ShufflePow(rows, "image", "objs/sys/selector.png");

for(local i=0; i<rows; i++)
{
pow.slots[i].set_pos(flxp, fly*pfy, flwp, flhp);
pfy = pfy + 0.0252;
}

function fade_transitions(ttype, var, ttime)
{
switch(ttype)
{
case Transition.ToNewSelection:
case Transition.ToNewList:

local Wheelclick = fe.add_sound("objs/sys/clic.mp3");
Wheelclick.playing=true;

break;
}
return false;
}

fe.add_transition_callback("fade_transitions");

Well, I have been using this shuffle module for a long time and it has not given me any problems...  8)

But hey, I'll try the new one ...  ::)

Sorry, no 4:3 support. All the artwork is sized for 1080P. It all needs to be cropped for that to happen (and a lot of work). It runs great on raspberry pi however. :)

Well, if you do not mind, I think I'll make a version for my pi in 4:3...  :P

Themes / Re: Mala Theme question
« on: December 31, 2018, 09:39:11 AM »
I never use bad themes, a couple of them that I liked, Blue Ring and Retro Gui, i have completely re-encoded them in Squirrel so they run in Attract-Mode natively. It's not complicated.
If the theme you want to use is interesting, surely someone will recode it in a short time if you ask in the themes forum.

Solved, it was a problem of paths and permissions.

Scripting / Re: Run a script from Attract-Mode in Linux (lakka)

I modified the script like this:
Code: [Select]

#!/bin/bash
clear
echo "----------- SPACE -----------" >> info.txt
df -h >> info.txt
echo "----------- MEMORY -----------" >> info.txt
free -m >> info.txt
echo "----------- TEMPERATURE -----------" >> info.txt
vcgencmd measure_temp >> info.txt
echo "----------- IP -----------" >> info.txt
ip route get 8.8.8.8 2>/dev/null | awk '{print $NF; exit}' >> info.txt

And executed from putty, like ./systeminfo.sh, it generates well the file info.txt with the information requested, but from AM, it does not generate it.

There could be some error in the Extras.cfg?

Code: [Select]
executable      /bin/bash
args            "[romfilename]"
rompath $HOME/.systems/extras/roms
system Extras
romext .sh
artwork flyer $HOME/.systems/extras/flyer
artwork marquee $HOME/.systems/extras/marquee
artwork snap $HOME/.systems/extras/snap
artwork wheel $HOME/.systems/extras/wheel

The snaps, wheels, flyers, etc. they look good on the screen.
