local carrier = Carrier( -153, 120, 1025, 250, 3, 3, 30, 0, 0 )

does not change the size of the color border though..........just the snap

have you seen the one as an option, in the arcadeSD theme?  i think it is pretty nice..

if you dont have it buy the time i get home from work..ill post it up for ya....

Scripting / Re: default "overview" ?
« on: November 03, 2018, 03:18:04 PM »
Usually I use this function:

function extra_text( index_offset, var ) {
   local text = fe.game_info(Info.Extra, 0);
   if (text != "") return text.toupper();
   else return "MISSING EXTRA";

local extra = fe.add_text ( "[!extra_text]", 0, 0, flw, flh );

But I don't know why it doesn't work with Overview, when it miss, returns the previuos Overview

maybe keilmillerjr can tell me why :)

thanks for your thinking it is just not hard coded to do so?   but thanks

kind of like how you can set an mp3 in the sound option's for "enter"  but not have a .mp4 or .png for a fade into game....

i just switch thinking it give some more def to the overlay.m4

or am i crazy...try it and let me know...

Code: [Select]
local transparent_vid = fe.add_image("overlay.mp4", 0, 0, flw, flh );
transparent_vid.preserve_aspect_ratio = false
transparent_vid.alpha = 45
transparent_vid.trigger = Transition.EndNavigation;

local smoke = fe.add_image ( "overlay.mp4", 0, 0, flw, flh );
smoke.blend_mode= BlendMode.Screen
smoke.alpha = 255;

Scripting / default "overview" ?
« on: November 01, 2018, 05:46:44 PM »
ya know  in your theme,   you can set default pic, like snap.png
and it will show up if it cant find the right one or missing...

is their a way to have a default overview?    i tryed   overview.txt and put in the theme
but no go...i also tryed puting like snes.txt in the scraper file of the emulator...

would be nice... ;)

Themes / Re: SNES Classic Theme

Code: [Select]
A few quick notes:

-Thanks to Davbarc for making the NES Classic Theme this is based off of.

-This theme runs poorly on the rpi3 and I doubt it will do much better on the 3b+, but let me know if it does. I recommend using this theme in attract mode for windows.

-Use the snes-buttons.jpg file as a reference for setting up the controller buttons in attract mode. Shoulder buttons, X and Y can be whatever you want.

-Place the files in the borders folder in retroarch/overlays/borders. You will need to configure a hot key in retroarch if you would like to change them on the fly.

-Keep artwork file sizes small. The ones that get scraped are huge. Use an image resizer to reduce their size.

-Place the files in the sounds folder in yourattractmodefolder/sounds. One is the menu music and the others are navigation sounds. These will need to be setup manually in attract mode.

-This is by no means perfect. I was a total noob when I attempted this project. If you get it working smoother and more accurately, please share with the group.

-Have fun!
