Scripting / Re: "Now Loading" Plug-in BETA
« on: Yesterday at 07:32:22 AM »
That's a pretty neat plugin! Just wondering, how can I make the image full screen? (1920x1080)

Update: Oops! I figured it out fairly easily enough  ;D

But what would be really nice is if you could change the image, based on which system or game is being loaded

Yeah,  the images are currently 640x480 ... though they can be swapped out for larger images or you can just scale the smaller sized images.  Just change the images to whatever you wish and then inside the plugin there are size settings.  I "may" adjust the code to allow for size entry from within the front end settings... not sure yet.

To be 100% honest,  this already does EXACTLY what I was looking for it to do (but with 10 different skins)... so I am not sure if I will investigate in to how to add different images for different systems.  It certainly SHOULD be possible...

Right now I need to figure out how to NOT interrupt the intro animation... again... no big deal for me as I don't run an intro animation,  but I am sure some folks do and this pretty much kills it by sticking the LOADING screen dead center while it plays...

I certainly agree with your approach, in that it's better to keep things simple. But if the plugin for this is similar to the way the code works for themes, then it should definitely be possible. Also, this would make a lot of users happy, especially those who rely on rocketlauncher for their loading screens. Actually, I tried to change the code with this plugin by adding a folder and adding [emulator] in the line where the image rests, but totally failed, at least for now :o

Those themes look quite good! I really like how you got the clock to work in real time too  ;D Great work!

Thanks a lot for the quick response! However, with the 3.0 release it's just the logo (now) running in the background instead which isn't all that visually appealing. Having said that though, it's much better than anything I could design  :D

I'll re-add the scrolling flyer in the next release.   I was hoping to re-do the code so that it's smooth like the tiled wheels so that's why I took it out.  Curious though, what would you suggest as a good background picture then?

Maybe fanart, screenshots (snaps instead of videos), or just have the option to have a plain (non-moving) background? But the floating boxart in version 2.1 was certainly better than the logos in 3.0  :D

New 3.0 release!

Very nice! Thank you for sharing this layout ;D My only gripe/suggestion would be to have an option to change the floating background to some other artwork, or just a static background if possible

Check out the new background change in the 3.0 release.  Let me know what you think!

FLAT BLUE theme v 1.0 released

Finally it is ready to download.
Get it here:

Verion, really like this theme and have used it for a while. But I was wondering, is there any way possible to replace the wheel art (on the top right of the screen) with flyer/boxart? I've messed around with the code (.nut) but couldn't find a way, at least not yet. Any help would be appreciated  ;D

There are several games in the list, but for some reason each title occupies all of the available columns on the screen, and the 3d boxes have a white box around them, as shown below

Do you have the shuffle module in your "/module" folder?   I forgot to mention you need it.  If you do and it still doesn't work then can you tell me if rand0m's Chicuelo theme works for you since my code is basically his code slightly modified.

As for the white box, it's supposed to be a border for 2D boxart.  But since you are using 3D boxart with transparencies, you'd have to disable the white box.  Here I've done it for you.  Use this updated layout.nut specifically attached on this post.  Let me know how it works out.  Also, the sound effects can be disabled/enabled if you like.  The easiest way is to open the layout.nut and find and delete the section titled "Sound FX".  Let me know if you need any further help.  Thanks.

Thank you very much for the new .nut file, which fixed the 3d box problem. Also, I found out the cause of the other issue. For some odd reason there was an individual "shuffle.nut" file in the modules folder, maybe leftover from older versions of attractmode, and after I deleted it the problem was solved! :)

Great work and thanks a lot for releasing this theme. However, mine doesn't seem to look quite right. There are several games in the list, but for some reason each title occupies all of the available columns on the screen, and the 3d boxes have a white box around them, as shown below

Agree with verion, the "Epsilon" one is definitely the best and the overall feel of both themes are quite nice. Although the sound effects get a little annoying after a while  ;D Overall though, great work!

No worries! You can always change "select" to "click" or "choose" but that's entirely up to you  ;D

I am certainly no grammar/vocabulary expert but I am an English teacher, so I'll offer some help  ;D

"If you select this option, the counter which indicates the number of times played and the actual amount of time played for all games will be set to zero."

Hope that helps

Great work! The games list screen is a little too 'busy' for my taste with way too much to look at, and could definitely have some elements reduced/simplified. But overall, this is very nice!
