aha... ok
I was under impression that it won't work in full screen mode

I know it won't work in windowed mode but I don't know why... and I didn't try to fix it, sorry.

try full screen mode (default)
NEVATO should auto detect screen resolution - if not edit the layout.nut - there is a part where you can force the resolution.

I'm glad you like it.
The initial idea was to change the color with every console.
You can see different color combinations here:

But I like this color set the most.

no worries - I'm so glad you're coding this.
send me the copy and I'll let you know what can be potentially improved/changed and make the png overlay.

looks good already - but something is off with the gradient
I'll compare it with my design tomorrow and let you know.
I think I've used radial gradient to show a bit more of snap/video.

I'm not talking about steering towards skeuomorphic pseudo-realism.

I'm talking about a procedurally generated boxart - from snaps or videos + wheel/logo.
It can be in a clean Arcadeflow style.

other approach is to add an overlay looking like a box/case over the video

here is the hi-res version:

Someone mentioned cropping of videos in box art mode, I'll see if I can think of something

I'm not 100% sure if this is the same problem that you want to solve, but you may want to see my approach for auto-generating boxart-like "sets" using videos

Basically it's:
1. crop the video a little in width
2. add a gradient to the top
3. add a game logo on top to fill the space at the top

If it's for the arcade / emulation only - I'd suggest nvidia shield. I use it every day, for media consumption and emulation. It's so small that took it on my last vacation.

I don't know... For me this all SBC makes sense if the small size or low power is a HUGE factor. If not - you can buy used intel CPU + mini ITX motherboard + cpu + cooler + case for the same price and get much more performance per dollar while still being pretty small.

That is if you trust someone with your designs.

I design mainly websites - so I don't have a problem with trusting the coder with my design "execution".
And because it's not a paid gig - there is no risk really :D
It's better to fail while coding a design than having a perfect design lying in a drawer.

...you had some cool and refreshing ideas from what I remember

Maybe I should gather all my designs in one thread and let the people know that I'm looking for a coder.

good to see you guys who've made a lot of contributions like Verion and fox still fighting the good fight

I've gave up my coding efforts and focused only on design... but I couldn't find any coders willing to code my designs. Or to be precise - a few has tried but gave up half-way in. :D

So sadly - I'm thinking about moving my arcade emulation to my nvidia shield - and that means, no AM :(
