Hi,

looking really nice with a thin shadow/smooth edges...
...maybe test the look before the Arcade-Background, too. There you have no "direct" background like a wall or flyer...which "catches" the shadow...
...I think it would be good if we could settle for a "Unified Look" of future cabinet additions...

I uploaded the raw unedited uncut 1920x1080+wall+sidekick+unsorted artwork... (NOT FOR DIRECT USE WITH THE CABINET-THEMES)
...1300x1920 was a good width to include some of the special cabinets/size...would I start again I would do some things different...made some big mistakes at the beginning haha..
...result is ok I think...needed some fixes here and there, just fixed the naomi cabinets, the screen is too wide on these, not the themes fault...
...heard we have a harsh critic....some friendly competition?...HAIL ATTRACT-MODE... ..haha

Another thing I've noticed is that a few of the cabinets are not full height and contain a marquee already (roadblst, tron, for example). Because of this, part of the separate marquee image shows at the very top, above the embedded marquee.

For the set of games I play I only found one missing marquee (bouldash, which is a pretty obscure one). Nice work!

for these special-shaped cabinets I have made a "Blank-Marquee" (They are in the download)...transparent dummy marquees with "nothing" ...
...for all I missed ....or new ones..."clone" one off those and replace/rename the marquee of the cabinet which is "problematic" ....(I think all are 6,07k ...sort after size to find one...)
I use TotalCommander and can rename the target file automatically, so I keep  the original marquee-file for later use with a (2)would advise you  to do similar or use a copied marquee-folder -NOT OVERWRITE!

I have a boulderdash marquee (pretty crappy one) sometimes the marquee is there...but for a bootleg or clone version...best look it up in mameui which shows naming/tree...
....and look at the first post in this thread...I have linked 2 much further developed themes...one off them is finished...they look similar..you have only to check the naming of the art_labels....

Hi, thank you for your work...
Nice to see different cabinet-theme pop up from professionals ...I am so happy you don't even know, was always a dream to have changing cabinets for each game...
the great jclampy69 is also working hard on a cabinet-theme...totally new.... from ground up...check it out...
to be fair... I don't created most of the cabinet-art only "imported" it from another frontend...
....and edited all of it to be properly used with the best frontend out there ...AM.... and added a fair amount of stuff...
(don't wanna get in a "stolen-valor-stituation" here, haha...credits to the original creators, thanx guys)

The theme works great...bbuuutttt...haha
I had to change two things coming from jclampy69 and my theme...
...read the readme file first before copying (is always good advice )
...had to rename the "layout"-folder to "layouts" and rename the "cabinet"-artwork label to "cabinets" and all worked flawlessly....

...maybe add a pointer-option or highlight the selected game
...don't know about optional showing the flyer...

appreciate your work, a lot to do around xmas, can wait until it ready...

...ahhh just realised that you are right about fps and the VIDEO...noticed that it has problems everytime at the same timestamp...didn't make the connection to fps of the video...
...thought the theme caused it...
...maybe we find a nice background still-image until someone made a wonderful new backgroundvideo (winkwink )...

Have some new cabinets...
...renamed for mame...and some other/rest which I couldn't instantly match...think I have overfiltered my mame gamelist some are missing... have to look into it... wonder which rule it caused...
If necessary I would override cabinets... if you have no selfmade one you like...
Some need blank marquees because of the cabinets shape...rename the target marquee file to keep the original for other themes...

ah, you are welcome... had a hole afternoon trying out several programs only to getting back (in shame ) to  photoshop at the end ahhrrrr...slow but working out of the gate...yeah PS...

had a look at diomonds 3, can't see any new arcade-cabinets, but those bezels on the vertical shooter look VERY nice ahhhhh...also some other interesting things in the video....

would be nice if you could post a layouttheme like one from the last video, with the cabinet appearing from the side...it is GREAT...no hurry have a lot going on myself ;(
could you also share the background video, mine is a little bit different with a LibretoSign, the Neon one looks cool, please...
I am on Windows 1920x1080 resolution, vertical logos look good+clear background would be nice...
(Oh...and someone asked why the background was beginning missing in the begining, I didn't realised the video is not in the layout folder it's in x:\Attract-Mode\videos\bkg_anim.webm ...ooopsy
...put it there et voila... better late than never...haha)

Always searching for missing marquees+selfmade them... I prefer LQ Original over HQ Logo+Black (I rather wait or made myself) ...if you have some I missed...

Mahuti made a very helpful .psd for of a Cabinet..
Have not done too much with the cabinets but...a little....
Got last few weeks distracted by C64/Amiga stuff, redone both, was a Art-Renaming-Nightmare ahhh...had to be done-got Oneloadroms without crackintro for C64/switched to whdload on Amiga..memories!

Here are my latest Cabinets... have made some changes (edited/renamed/cloned...) currently adjusting them for Model1/2, when I have time....
...I think overriding the old ones would be best...UNLESS YOU CHANGED SOME YOURSELF ...had to warn ....because they may be gone...ha

I would use photoshop  and record automated-batch-processes, because most other programs have failed to process the transparencies of the cabinet images correctly, I tried...
...for me the snapvideo is alway behind and keeps playing...looking strange when scrolling faster.. has to stop/fadeout before scrolling... don't know how to do it...
...wonder if you compose a new image of the complete cabinet before or on the fly...would certainly spare processing time to do it before for all cabinets and make a new folder "complete cabinets"...would be super fast...and ..then...add... a two minutes animation hahah...just kidding...hihi

Looks wonderful especially how you put the hole cabinet together before showing!!!  Bothered me the most...and the video lagging while scrolling...but other themes had that too so...
Going forward I would make a switch ON/off for the enter-the room-animation while it looks very cool, it takes to long for my taste...I scroll often searching, looking at snaps because I forget the exact name..haha...and while everything else is fast and smooth...
Great Job hope you finish the theme and please share...
Don't know If a Diamond 3 comes out...will look for it...have made some cabinets...there are enough to choose and modify...have to go through racing-wheel and lightgun games again, have been placeholder, UZIs for some , there are now the original Sega Lightguns...only the real Human-Tattoed-Arms are a little bit distracting...

Can share my wheel logos and marquees to spare you some time...
The artfolders are for several emulators...
MameWheel is complete for me, noClones filter and applied some other (MahjongCardCasino some other....) also complete for model1/2 FBneo naomi...
Marquees shold be named correctly, have "blank" ones for special shaped cabinets, playchoiceMegatech mini marquees (yeah, 2nd Screen should be Menu but marquees lookedbetter ) the original Marquees is still there with (1) ...
