Configuring Favorites
« on: November 03, 2016, 04:56:53 PM »
Hi all,

I'm having trouble adding a game to my favorites list. I have an All games display with all my games for one emulator. I have a 2nd display just for favorites. I then have a 3rd display with only one game usng a different version of MAME (Mario Bros. because the sound sucks on newer MAME versions).

However, when I try to add this Mario game to my favorites, it registers me pushing my Add favorites key (F) but the game is not displayed in the list.

What should I check?

Thanks,
-Doug

You're question is not clear. The favorites feature is used by applying a filter to a romlist (this filter will point to a .tag file in your romlist folder). If you want games in your favorites filter that are using two different emulators you must first combine the two emulator romlists using the command line or manually. If you don't combine the romlists each emulator will each use a different .tag file to add and remove favorites.

Sorry I wasn't clearer, but yes I have two different versions of MAME running different games. I essentially want one merged Favorites listing culling from multiple emulators.

How do I merge the multiple romlists together?

Thanks,
