GENS FULL SCREEN
« on: November 15, 2016, 06:48:03 AM »
I just got started with am and it has been a lot easier that I thought it would be. The only thing I have a issue with on the initial setup is the sega gens. First off I cain't figure out how to make it go full screen on startup inside or outside of am. Second is I can get the roms to show up in am but when I try to use them the gens emulator pops up with no rom loaded. I have windows 7 and it is the Gens emulator.

Did you start with the AM gens.cfg?

executable          /usr/games/gens
args                    --fs --quickexit "[romfilename]"
rompath              $HOME/genesis/roms/
romext                .zip;.md
system                Sega Genesis
info_source         thegamesdb.net

Change executable/rompath to math your files locations...

e.g.
executable        e:/emus/genesis/gens.exe
rompath            e:/emus/genesis/roms/

Everything seems to be set up correct. I set it up just like the other three emulators I have and they all work fine. I'll look again when I get home. My biggest deal is the full screen. I think
I can play around and get the roms working.

I got the roms to work but my full screen is still a issue. I notices now when I hit my exit hot key in any game am is zoomed in. I have to exit to windows and go back in then it is fine.

The "zoom" issue can probably be fixed by enabling the res fix plugin in AM or using the same resolution on the emulator as in windows.

I got the zoom problem fixed by adjusting the resolution, I switched to the fusion emulator and the full screen problem is fix. Now if I could get some help saving the controller config that would be great.

In Fusion 3.64

Options > Set Config... > Controllers > Define (gens/32x/sega cd controllers)

Important:
After defining the keys use the emulator to exit: File > Exit
If you use AM to exit the emulator it will not save the changes.
