as far as i know it cant handle 2. but this link says otherwise...hope it helps.
i use a win7 pc so i have no issues with a second screen. rpi isnt really designed for that but seeing your only useing it for a marquee it should be ok.

I have a marquee system with rasp, but it needs 2 machines... here the scripts ans instructions... if you need more info just aks me , cheers.
