Attract Mode Crashing
« on: December 30, 2017, 07:21:08 AM »
hello guys, i've been using the latest version of Attract Mode, and i configured 4 systems till now without any problems. But from now on, i can't use any option from the menu accessed from Tab key. Anytime i enter on any option will freeze the AttractMode (music still running), but pressing another key will give a crash message as below:

---------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
---------------------------
Runtime Error!

Program: G:\AttractMode\attract.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Is this a bug or maybe my machine? I didn't have time to test on other machine, i thought about re-installing Visual runtimes, and even tried de 2015 one, but it did not solve this error.

Sorry if i posted on the wrong section, but i am not sure if this is a bug or a problem with m machine. Thanks

PS: I can use the systems and everything works there, my problem is just in the menu

Hi, did this get solved?  I'm having the same problem.  I have AM running on a streamlined Win7 image with CRT emu on a Blast City cab.
One day it worked, now I just get this and can't get around it in any way.  I've tried reinstalling Visual C++ drivers but nothing.

OK, I solved it.  There were other reports of crashes and the suggestions were to reinstall a new copy of attract mode.  In the end, I just copied over the exe and that fixed the problem.  The old exe must have gotten corrupted somehow.
