Retro Gaming set up...need help
« on: June 08, 2020, 02:42:42 PM »
Hi guys,
I kinda need help...
I am planning to open caffe with a few old computers where customers can play old PC games (Heroes of might and magic III, Red Alert, Red Alert 2...) it will be free of charge so I dont need fancy internet caffe programs.
Like I said I will only have 5-6 games installed and I want for customers to choose games like here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkw0JO4Q3IQ&feature=youtu.be
I tried to set it up but without success...
Can someone help me step by step I will send you a video of my Retro Gaming Caffe when its opened and you will get a free beer if you visit :) (btw it will be opened in Serbia)
Thank you in advance...

First of all not sure that is legal to do that (would be like setting up a mame cabinet with a coin mech in it at your bar...that and I am not sure AM is licensed for a "pay to play" setup...so not sure if you'll get much help there..

Second you CAN do it if you set up open source games ONLY. And I am guessing you will not charge to use the machine...(just like the mame problem above)

Even if it were a legal thing to do...nothing we can do because we do not know anything about your set up (computers, operating system, games ect.)

People want life easy..then complain about it

First of all thank you for fast replay :)
There will be 4 computers (phenom x4, 4gb ram, ati hd4200, windows 7), computers will be in the corner and they would be free to use (play), so no "pay to play"
I have these games which i plan to install
Red Alert 2
Warcraft 3 frozen throne
Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Quake 3
For now...
I saw that in AM setup you can choose PC in emulators, I just need help to connect .exe files and setting up menu where you can choose games...
Thank you

I live next to foxwoods casino, once world's largest casino. They run illegal boots. Yeah... I am not condoning piracy. But it's not even enforced at a place charging money for play with customers from all over the USA.
