PC Build (X86) Attract Mode with SFML

I need help (and I'm not talking mentally... that can wait  ) I'm currently building a Debian image and after going around the houses for some time I think I've come to terms with the fact that the XOrg/XServer way of doing things is squeezing life out of me and my PC. I've had a few issues which seem to be related to using X.

I have AM on Pi and love it, well big fan of AM anyway  but when it comes to standard PC hardware, generally support is limited in this topic.

Anyone got any clues for how I might compile an image of AM with SFML so I don't have to use X?

Just wondering if you dumped that link in a way to say it was obvious or in a way to tell me that I can use that link to solve my problem?

Sorry, may be I misunderstanding your idea. The link is how to install AM in rpi, but should be ok on Debian system

I wasn't sure about your link so held off running down that route. Thanks for confirming kent79.

I used the same link for AM but it feels a little weird to use it for PC hardware. Fingers crossed.

I apologize for bringing a 1+ year old thread back from the dead, but...

I would love to know:

1.  Is it possible to compile AM for use on x86/x86 without the need of an xserver?
2.  If yes, how? 

I tried compiling with SFML via the link above but it fails on opengl.

I am currently running AM on a minimal install of Ubuntu 18.04 x64 via X.  If I can ditch X, I would die a happy man!

Not sure wether these libraries work outside the raspberry pi. But it is possible. My pi runs raspbian lite (linux) with attract and no x.
