Best list manager for AM?
« on: January 20, 2017, 07:02:49 AM »
All,

I'm geting to the point where I think I've decided on attract-mode as my frontend of choice.  However, I'm trying to come up with curated rom lists for systems so it's not so hard to get through the available roms to find something you want.  I'm looking for a good list manager.

  Can anyone recommend a good list-manager that's attract-mode compatible?

Thanks.

in AM itself, you can set different filter (year, manufacturer, category, alphabetical, and so on)
start AM > press tab button > Display > Filter > Add Filter
AM Version : 2.6.1
Input : Mad Catz Brawlstick; Mouse; Keyboard; Xbox360 Wireless
Cabinet : Yes
OS : Windows10 Pro
System : Dell Precision T3500 ; Intel X5650 ; 12GB RAM

I'm trying to get a bit more granular than that, in that I am looking for a tool that could let me create a filtered list like that, but then do things like:
  • eliminate garbage i don't want
  • remove duplicates
  • sort / filter on popularity

The filters are extensive. You can do all that, and much more. One of my favorite discoveries was the most played list...

Attract Mode filters do that. That's the whole point of them.
