Hi Again,
Here is the link to the first version:
https://mega.nz/file/JZxhjB4D#7dYDTJ6h3ukk3S8UvSS0mGIDUvFv7LyZoJ3fYT7nEEoWhat do you need:The layout uses the following config in your emulators:
For Arcade emulators (Mame, FBneo, Daphne or similar)
executable [your executable]
args [your executable args]
workdir [your workdir]
rompath [your rompath]
romext [emulator extensions]
system Arcade //the name of your system
artwork flyer [your path to]/flyer
artwork marquee [your path to]/marquee
artwork snap [your path to]/snap
artwork wheel [your path to]/wheelFor the other emulators (MSX,PSX,SNES,MEGADRIVE,Amiga and SCUMMVM):
executable [your executable]
args [your executable args]
workdir [your workdir]
rompath [your rompath]
romext [emulator extensions]
system Megadrive //the name of your system
artwork box2dside [your path to]/box2dside
artwork flyer [your path to]/flyer
artwork snap [your path to]/snap
artwork wheel [your path to]e/wheelAs you can see, the Arcade based screens uses Flyer, Marquee, snap and wheel artworks but the rest of the emulators used box2dside (the lateral of the gamebox). flyer, snap and wheel. You can use animated snaps or static snaps.
The layout detects automatically the size and aspect ratio of your monitor, and detects the emulator used basing of the name of the screen. I mean,
For MSX the Screen must named MSX
For Supernintendo the Screen must named SNES
For Megadrive/Genesis the Screen must named Megadrive
For MAME/FBneo the Screen must named Arcade
For Playstation/PSOne/PSX the Screen must named PSX
For Commodore Amiga the Screen must named Amiga
For ScummVM the Screen must named SCUMMVM
For Daphne the Screen must Named Daphne
You can create another emulator theme copying one of the created. For example you can use the ScummVM theme for DOS Games, in this case you can copy the folder [path to attract_mode]\layouts\OldMemories\objs\SCUMMVM to [path to attract_mode]\layouts\OldMemories\objs\DOS and create a new Screen with the name DOS (you need to modify the logo.png inside this new folder). Yes.. I can make it in the layout.nut code but I'll do that in the next version because I need some folder modifications too.
Some tricks: You can change the default poster (flyer), snap, wheel, marquee and box2dside images used in the layout. These images are in [path to attract_mode]\layouts\OldMemories. You can use whatever images you want, but you need to respect the aspect ratio of the current images
