Retroarch
« on: August 17, 2017, 05:57:11 PM »
I got Retroarch working fullscreen and pretty well with the 188 Mame core.  Problem is, I have no idea how to get the shaders loaded.  Any ideas?

not really a question for attract-mode... but here goes when  you launch your game hit f1 then go to the very first option quick menu scroll down to shaders and set to your hearts content...

Thanks but is there any way to declare it in the argument area in Attract?

1. From the core you are using..I am assuming you are on a PC.
2. mc2programmer is correct this is a retroarch "problem" it has nothing to do with attract mode.
3. Following mc2programmer advice then save configuration for the game..

I believe that will make a config file for the game and load the shader(s) on game launch. However again this needs to be asked on the retroarch forums if you need more help.

it might be possible to set shader information from command line.... if you can then in Attract-Modes emulation folder edit the emulation.cfg file and add the required shader parameters... not sure if this can be done. When I have some time I will look into retroarch documentation a bit more to see if you can set shaders via command line.
