Amigaspin Reloaded Theme
« on: May 31, 2019, 12:04:34 PM »
'Amigaspin Reloaded' is a heavily revamped version of the original Amigaspin layout created by Humayun Hasan.

It includes:

- Random wheel sounds when navigating games (like Hyperspin)
- An animated bouncing Amiga Ball in 'panscan' mode! (default)
- Modified game wheel
- Box and cart art animations
- Some small bug fixes

Download Amigaspin Reloaded theme here:
https://mega.nz/#!1FMGHKCQ!w5GROs1epCVLS74HeywZrSEt5FdlTSZsUqG69lYhWVM

Install:
- Download and unzip file.
- Copy to your layouts folder.
- Install included "outline_pixel-7" font if needed.

Newbie of topic question: Is there any way mame to emulate Amiga, or should I use another emulator?
I think I know the answer (use other emulator) but just to be sure.
Thanks, and sorry :)

Not sure about MAME but there are three common ways to emulate the Amiga: WinUAE, WinUAE+WinUAELoader and FS-UAE.
I personally use WinUAE+WinUAELoader because it worked for me. I use WHDLoad files that are basically "hard disked" version of games that originally came on floppy discs. It makes everything easier and faster. The main issue with this approach is that WinUAELoader is no longer under development and it's database xml files are getting old. That being said I have about 1800 WHDLoad games working on this combination (no duplicates).

Amiga is a little tricky to emulate for many reasons and it took me some time to get it to work.

I had an Amiga 500 back in the day, it was the best PC ever made.

Thanks!. Yes I have searched. I know it's a bit tricky that's why I asked.
I recently use attract mode to emulate Amstrad cpc. Everything is much easier by using name (as it now supports Amstrad), that's why I asked.
Thanks again. When I emulate Amiga I'll use your links.
