Hidden display
« on: November 27, 2020, 09:38:40 PM »
I'm wondering if it is possible to create a display (possibly favorites?) but only pull it up with a separate key command instead of just going left and right with the joystick to access it like all the other displays i have? I want to put some specific games on a list that i dont want to be accessible except to people with the key command to pull up the list. Is this possible? Thanks  ;D

yes, it's possible to set favourites, tags and filter a display (for example all games that contains Mario):

have a look at the controls:
press TAB key > Controls
Next filter, Previous Filter, Filters Menu, Add/Remove Favourite, Next Favourite and so on...
You can set here a button. And a simultane key combination too.

have a loot at the display settings:
press TAB key > Display > your_Display
there you can add different filter

for further information, please use board search. there exists different detailed threads.
AM Version : 2.6.1
Input : Mad Catz Brawlstick; Mouse; Keyboard; Xbox360 Wireless
Cabinet : Yes
OS : Windows10 Pro
System : Dell Precision T3500 ; Intel X5650 ; 12GB RAM

Thanks for the reply. If you have any specific threads that you could point me to that would be able to help me better understand favorites and filters in AM i would much appreciate it. Ive never had to use them before and they seem to be a much more complex aspect of AM than just making lists  :-[ Ive searched around a bit for threads on both topics but it seems to be a bit scattered

>Favourites:
-at least set buttons for "Next Filter" and "Add/Remove Favourite"
-move to your display
-move to game, that you want as a favourite
-press button for "Add/Remove Favourite"
-confirm adding as Favourite with "Yes"
-then press button for "Next Filter"
-in standard configuration, there exits two filters : All (games) and Favourite (games)
thats all
