General / Auto Volume Control AutoIt script

Hi

On my mame emulator cabinets, I've got games with many roms like we all do... all those roms have random volume levels, some of them are screaming your ears off, and other sounds like normal

I've found a script that does the job

Now on my lagg free emulator on my 2 old systems (mame32p v0.88u2), I've tried this script and also tried other programs that does volume stuff, and they ALL crash my pc for some reason
But this script works 100% and I like it.... altho it only last a couple of second then boom... entire PC crash... have to hard reset

Can someone please help me out with a salutation?

General / sound issues with a sound card in attract mode

Hi, Im using WinXP-attract-v2.6.1-win32, my onboard sound is broken on my one motherboard so Im using a pci sound card, ive test it with 2 different sound cards, same results...
"xwave card" and a "creative sound blaster"

there seems to be a sound issue, when you start up attract.exe it starts with the intro video, scratching in the sound... latency related??? maybe sample size is to small or buffer size..?

General / atrract mode keeps crashing after I installed NVIDIA driver?!!?!?!?

Hi, Im building 2 xp machines, running WinXP-attract-v2.6.1-win32, everything works fine, until I installed my drivers for my Nvidia GeForce2, I think... it did the same thing when I installed DirectX v9.0c .....  when I installed the ATI Radeon 9200 there was no issues

mame runs like rubbish on onboard gfx on old pc's!!!

Hi, another useful feature that i cant find anywhere to implement in my build, "Auto exit game when on idle for x amount of time"

Cant someone please help me and perhaps alooot of others

General / Hold Start button to exit game back to menu

Hi, Can someone please help me with this features, i cant!! believe its not already implements in Attract-Mode

Hold Start button for like 5 sec to exit game and return back to menu
