Please try this

Wow.  Thank you so much!!!  It's working now.  This is really great.  I don't suppose you know how to remove the text readout when exiting a game as well?

I've tried changing "args" to "[name] 1>/dev/null 2>/dev/null" and this did remove some of the lines that were appearing but not all of them as you can see from the picture.

Thanks so much.

Themes / Re: ArcadeSD Vertical Theme?
« on: October 07, 2021, 01:59:39 PM »
Hello mate,Im not sure about the Arcadesd theme, but Id check out the Verted theme by Mahuti here:

looks great on vertical CRT anyway.

Hey man - thanks for that.  I'll check it out for sure.

I did kind of get the ArcadeSD theme sorted... I downloaded "SDArcadeMod_v3f" from another thread here and put it in the layout folder and actually got it working in portrait mode... however, up/down and left/right is backwards.  To scroll through the game list, intuitively you want to hit left and right but with the keyboard plugged in you still have to hit up/down.  I'm looking for a way to sort this out now...

Themes / ArcadeSD Vertical Theme?
« on: October 06, 2021, 07:13:39 PM »
Has anyone recreated the ArcadeSD theme/layout in Attract Mode for vertical orientation?  I am trying to make an extremely simple arcade-only 3:4 set up and the ArcadeSD menu seems perfect - no bells and whistles.

Wheel art/logo up top, snap or video in the middle and some instructions on the bottom (“Move joystick to select game.  Press P1 Start button to play.”).  The star field in the background is a nice touch too.

I am new to this front end and saw a giant thread about this theme but didn’t see any mention of it working in portrait mode.
