Mouse input question

I just came across this site and am really enjoying trying out this front end for Mame. I'm just starting to get back into emulation after a 10 year absence (A lot has changed!).

I've been digging through the forum to figure most things out but seem to be having a hard time trying to figure out the syntax in the Mame.txt in the roms list folder.

For example I wanted to change the control to a mouse for Arkanoid so I tried to change the 'Dial' to a 'Mouse' but it is not picking it up. I also see there are many other types of joysticks in there so am looking for the source for the syntax so that I can modify it myself.

If it is possible could someone could point me in the right direction.

Please repost this in the "emulators" section as this is an emulator problem not an attract mode problem.

this tells you how to set it up to use your mouse
