I'm not much of a Linux person, but I got it working on Linux Mint MATE edition just fine.

Compiled from source? I currently run Linux Mint XFCE on a Optiplex 780 with default Mame244 and i am thinking about using Attract mode (i already run it on my win10 PC).

Is there a way (magic token maybe?) to figure out if the MAME game you just selected from the gamelist has clones or not?

(Info.CloneOf only returns that the game itself is not a clone, not if it is a parent with no clones).

General / MAME merged sets and CATVER.INI

I have merged MAME roms so generating a romlist from the AttractMode interface ignores all clones...

I can export from MAME and use: attract --import-romlist mamelist.xml mame --full so now i also have all clones, but how can i integrate catver.ini or nplayers.ini into the final list?
