General / Re: How to hide wheel art that don't have images?
« on: Today at 10:17:59 PM »
If you have all artworks present, then take one working artwork file. check resolution and file extension.
use a graphics tool like irfanview with batch conversion, to resize all artwork files to same resolution and file extension.

or don't you have not all artwork files (after scrape artwork by AM itself)?
got this problem with missing marquee files.
I'm not using a RPI (i'm using Windows system), but maybe it helps you.
all my covers are .png
my path to attract.exe is : C:\attract\attract.exe
to figure out, which snes romfile doesn't have a own marquee art in AM scraper folder (just customize to your settings)
then create/copy artwork manually in AM scraper folder.

Create a batch-file with this:
Code: [Select]
@echo off

cd C:\attract\EMU\zsnes\roms
for %%i in (*.smc) do (
if not exist C:\attract\scraper\zsnes\marquee\%%~ni.png echo %%i

Emulators / Re: Can't get Project64 games to launch

that's not correct. Project 64 supports different file formats:
zip , 7z , v64 , n64 , z64 , rom , usa , jap , pal , bin , ndd

this is my config:
Code: [Select]
executable           C:\attract\EMU\Project64\Project64.exe
args                 "[romfilename]"
rompath              C:\attract\EMU\Project64\roms
romext               .zip;.z64;.v64
exit_hotkey          Escape

uh.. a little bit tricky. This is the correct commandline, to start your game?
F:\HyperPC\Emulators\MFME 51\MFME.exe H:\HyperPC\Roms\Fruit Machines\game123\game123.gam

regarding to this post, you need an identical folder and filename stucture like this:
H:\HyperPC\Roms\Fruit Machines\game123\game123.gam
H:\HyperPC\Roms\Fruit Machines\gameABC\gameABC.gam
and so on

this should work to you:
Code: [Select]
executable           F:\HyperPC\Emulators\MFME 51\MFME.exe
args                 [rompath][name]\[name].gam"
rompath              H:\HyperPC\Roms\Fruit Machines
romext               <DIR>

I think it's a problem with the wheel-guided layouts (like Robospin).

If you have a game123 and your video and artwork is in AM-scraper folder under flyer (game123.png & game123.mp4) (in my case zsnes : C:\attract\scraper\zsnes\flyer\), it always play the video-file primary.

If you hear all the video files only, it takes the video files from flyer-folder first.
Start AM > Press TAB > Displays > zsnes (in my case) > Layout Options > select spinwheel art : marquee (instead : wheel)
After this, you won't hear the video files more.

If you get white snow, your video files and pictures are not found. Please check correct settings.

The robospin layout get the files this way (after a few seconds, it switch between flyer and snap files on arcade display)

same problem here.

could you test this:
-if you're using x64/64bit version of AM, please try x86/32bit version of AM
-could you test an earlier version of AM (2.2.1)

please report us. It seems that a lot of people got this problem..

What are your parameters to start a game directly from command line?
path_to_your_emulator\emulator.exe -parameter -parameter path_to_your_romfile\romfile_name.romfile_extension
what shows console window of AM (errors)?
So we can help you.

Emulators / Re: AttractMode not launching Chaos Heat
« on: February 07, 2018, 01:03:19 AM »
I think, your file-name and your title in romlist differ.
Usually it's (instead
So title should usually chaoshea (instead chaosheat)

what says console windows of AM?

General / Re: Video, sound only

which theme doesn't work?

please start AM with console > move to relevant romfile (regarding video file) > check console window

If AM can't play a video, there must be a message like :
Error opening input file: xyz.mp4
ERROR loading video: xyz.mp4
