I meant 640x480. An yes not on AM. Other software can maybe. Thanks for pointing that out.

The only reason I said 320x240 is because that is what the scraper pulled down with retropie. So I found they work better. I am not worried how well they look in the preview. I would like them to tool better in the screensaver though. I will try your suggestion :)

Well, since I am also using AM like as music jukebox, so I am much concerned the video quality & sound sync issue. I need to find out the best of balance. On low end machine, fps reason is the most important than resolution that it's my experience.

Okay so a Rasp pi 3+

you compiled from source? How are you running AM? Do you have raspain installed? Is it retropie? is it running ot top of mate? This only happens when you run attractmode? What if you leaving running without attractmode going?

These are thing we need to know to help.

Also I have to ask..what format are your video snaps in? The PI can run 800x600 @60 FPS However you will get better results if you lower them all to 320x240 @30 FPS.

As much as i like AM the pi is just a little under powered for some themes. Attractmode on the highend good looking wow setting themes need to be run on a PC (or a stronger SBC) One day I hope that AM can run smooth on the pi...I like emulationstation...but yeah I am bias a little :P (AM is easier to set up honestly)

Your some infomation is wrong. Video running on AM is depending on AM bulit in ffmpeg decoder. It means your 800x600 @60 FPS is wrong. You may running 60fps video smoothly on RPI by other software, but AM decoder can't. The video decoder in AM  is very weak. For low machine like as RPI, I sugguest fps must set to 23.98.  Instead the resolution is not a big deal, you may keep to orginial.

I am on a Rpi3B+ using retropie to attactmode. I have videos set up and screensaver videos. My problem is that after a certain amount of time (a week to a month I think) the pi freezes. I can't ssh (which I need to re-test as I might have fixed that in retropie) or do anything when directly connected to my TV. I always have to reboot it. To better help give more info, is there a log of some sort to help identify the issue? I do recall installing video codecs (ffmpeg I think)to help resolve this issue, which helped for a while.

what is fps of your videos? Please try to covert all format to 23.98 fps

I have noticed that when I launch a NeoGeo Game from AttractMode, I can see RetroArch starting but it goes off imediatly.

Actually, AM is frontend only, I don't think the issue is coming from AM.

Well, I am using core "mame_libretro.dll" It is good for me and you may try. Accroding current finding, I suspect the issue may not be core, may be the rom. You may go to mamedev and download emulator for testing your rom is valid or not first. If OK, then try it using on Retroarch.

I tried and it doesn't changed anything.

I don't really know what I am doing wrong.
I change the executable by NeoRageX, and it launch it but I have to load the rom. I will find how load the roms at the same time or change by an another emulator.

Please try to change folder name as below. May be the name is too long.
Q:\AM\NeoGeo\Roms

I tried with neogeo pocket game and your arg works but I have to add retroarch.exe at the end of executable line. If I don't, it doesn't work.
But I have the same issue for Neogeo game.

Umm. I find out something issue as your rom path name. There is including spacing & symbol.
Q:\1 - Data Batocera Attract Mode\SNK Neo Geo MVS\Roms

You may try to change the foler name like as below
Q:\DataBatoceraAttractMode\SNKNeoGeoMVS\Roms

I am setting up RetroArch with Attract Mode and I have some issues with the NeoGeo arcade system.

Here is my conf file:

I use the same method for all my system and they work perfectly, exepted this one. It used to work, but know not. When I launch a game, nothing happens
I tryed with HBmame and Mame2016 cores, and it doesn't work to.

When I load a Neogeo game in RetroArch, that works with the 3 differents cores, but not in Attract Mode.

I tryed to change the args line with:
"[romfilename]" -L cores\fbneo_libretro.dll
or
-L Q:\Jeux\AttractMode\RetroArch\ores\fbneo_libretro.dll "[romfilename]"
or
Q:\Jeux\AttractMode\RetroArch\ores\fbneo_libretro.dll "[romfilename]"

And I get the same issue.

I tryed to launch Attract Mode as an administrator too. Nothing changed.

Do you have an idea what I am doing wrong, please?

Hi All, 4.7 version should be finial bulid version of this theme. The snap's video will stop while long press up & down. There will be improved performace again.

It will make AM crash while running in Linux system. I don't know it is AM or shader issue   :'(
