AttractMode not create a MAME.tag file

I seem to have an issue where a favourites list is not getting created.

If I set a game to favourite I get a prompt asking me if I want to add it to favourites I hit yes and can cycle to my favourites list and see the game.

But if I reboot or check the computer for the file MAME.tag there is nothing there. It's like it won't create the MAME.tag file.

Has any one seen this before or know how to resolve this.

My setup is Linux and apart from the favourites everything else is working correctly.

I've checked the permissions on the config folder .attract and attractmode is being run by the correct user.

Any help is appreciated.

I had this same problem.

I had unzipped AttractMode into my C:\Program Files folder.  My install of Windows 7didn't like that.  Once I moved it out of that directory, everything behaved the way it should.

Does this match your setup?
