exit

Currently when I launch a title I can't exit through the controller and have to use the esc key on the keyboard.  I know this is possible on a pi, but how do I set this up on a windows based machine?

Start AM > press TAB key > Emulators > choose your emulator system > goto 'Exit Hotkey' > set you joystick buttons / input
now if you start your emulator system (and press this button(s) on joystick/-pad), emulator system exists and you'll see AM again
you have to do this each emulator system.
