Does updating attract the mode forget all the controls for the front end

I know I won't lose my retroarch controls but I'm just worried if I update attract mode that it'll forget my attract mode settings

No. You can back up your config file just in case.

Is there a way to auto update? Using retropie/RetroArch/attracmode. Can't find an update option
