Joystick and button combo changes focus to xwindows.

Can anyone help me?
I cant seem to find a way to stop it.
It basically is stopping me from playing my MAME!
Running debian

Its like CTRL-ALT combo changes screen back to xwindows, which equates to joystick up and fire button etc.

Removed the reference in keyboard-shortcuts.xml in xfce!
