Update!!!

Robospin was getting stale, so I updated it with some newer features like pan-and-scan and so on.

System logos were already included but I added game mfr logos as well, being inspired my malfacine's maelstrom layout. I added a lot more mfr logos to what he had collected.

I also made some custom category icons. To keep things from being too cluttered, I made some small cosmetic changes as well. So, without further ado.

You can now download the pre-release for testing. To enable pan-and-scan, you choose it instead of a background image under layout options. Flyer art is used by default but you can always change the path in the emulator.cfg to use something else.

I'll move this back to themes once I feel it has been tested enough.

I'm still making some tweaks but it should be ready soon. I keep going back and forth on whether to make the frame and logos a smidgen bigger.

where do you get the wheel images and videos from?

I actually got the wheel images from hyperspin. Assuming they would work. I put them in a new directory called wheel, but it doesn't work. where do they need to go?
edit: got that working. was the wheel path in emulator section.

I also got a new pointer. didn't show up in the list, so i renamed it to one of the others, hand, but the hand still shows up. is this not something that is configurable?

also, i noticed with the video playing my cpu was up to 25%, was wondering if it's possible to just have the snaps show there instead?
edit: n/m, figured that at as well.

Just edit your emulator config and change where the snap path points to. FYI, I have a newer version of robospin posted under themes if you want to give it a try. Thanks...

Hi omegaman,

When I added your latest version of robospin the flyer background doesn't show the boxart I had setup?
Is there a change to the settings for the background flyer.

When I made the change the background only displays the flyer.png file
Any help much appreciated

Edit the attract emulator config that you want to use box art for and point the flyer path to your box art.

NES emulator config example:

artwork  flyer  C:\media\nes\boxes

This theme is swish! love it.
Is it a big task to change which way the wheel is displayed and the little rocket pointer?
If i can work out my freezing issue with AM, I have a stand up driving cab this would be perfect for.

Changing the wheel is a little tedious but not too bad. The pointer is pretty simple to do.

How hard is changing the spacing in the wheel with logos, as I think it looks a little to crowded?   love this theme, thanks

Enjoying AM with robospin in a racing cab after a full windows reinstall.
hopefully the frozen screen issue wont rear it's head again.

I'm new and can't get the new robospin to download to attract mode in my RP3. It's unzipped and the pic shows where I'm trying to place it. Any thoughts? Am I even in the right place?
