Hi, what version of attract mode are you using? this is running on Pi?

Yes on a Pi4, its in Retropie 4.6 Experimental Packages now.
I do not know the version of AttractMode, its installed from source in the Retropie Setup Menu.

This theme was developed on attract mode v2.6.1 and windows 10 pc, if you are using an earlier version I can't do much. There is a changelog file in the attract folder, it should show the version. You can also run the 'attract-console.exe' file. It will open a console window and in it attract mode prints the current version.
When you are at it, also navigate to you hyper spin theme display (your mame or arcade) and copy/paste the text that is printed in the console - or post a screenshot here. It should show something like this:

ALSO - make sure you are not trying to run the actual hyperspin themes! "Hyperspin Theme Mode" uses only unified videos of the themes - mp4 video files, not the the themes themselves!

If you want to use the original HS themes, use the PCCA theme for attract mode, it's still in development but it works pretty well:

I've managed to get all of the other hemes to work except for hyperspin, it would show me the list of games and wheels, but no videos.  Do I need the video in certain format ? I mean they are all mp4 and the other themes doesn't seem to have any problem with it. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi, place the hyperspin videos in a folder named "themes" in your attract\menu-art\[emulator of choice] folder.
for example: "C:\attract\menu-art\mame\themes".

Then add to your [emulator of choice] cfg file (mame.cfg for example) this line:

mp4s are just fine.

Ok thanks, I got it to work, but for the hyperspin main menu, I can't seem to make it look for the videos in "K:\Attract Mode\menu-art\snap" folder, I had to rename "snap" to "themes" for it to work.

Good! Yeah, main menu works in a different way in AM. I will update the instructions in the main page.

You are not doing something properly because this feature is as simple as playing snap videos. It MUST work.
did you turn it on in the layout options?  hhhmmmmm?!

Oh crap, we are having a discussion of deaf people.
I am talking about the 'Hyperspin Theme Mode' layout and you are talking about the 'Hyperspin Theme Mode Main Menu' layout!

I didn't even add that transitions function to that layout.

Maybe in the next release.
