Yes, all paths in such config files I would try relative. Then pass —config path to binary.

hi guys, i need help!!!how i can to running Attract mode directly on pen drive? that is, indicate the paths is not necessary.
I would like of plug in my pen drive in any Pc with Atrract mode with emulators , roms, snaps wheels, etc... all ready to play.
Its possible?

Try it. Use relative paths in your config filers and make sure to pass the binary the —config option.

Your welcome.

Right now, the only thing automatically compiling via CI is linux binary. Striving for all platforms soon. I also need to update the compiling section of the wiki.

* Linux CI is now working, going to investigate windows and mac osx

Any suggestions, or pull requests feel free to do so! One thing I would like to do is integrate leap (skip empty displays such as favorites) into attract source instead of a plugin. Hmm…

Edit: resolved lint CI and added new intro layout.

Ok, I fully specified the paths now and the MAME app launches now, but after displaying MAME's window for a second or two, I'm automatically switched back to attract-mode. So I click in MAME's window to bring it back to the front, but now any keypress is ignored and I get the "beachball-of-death", i.e. MAME hangs.

I'm able to switch back to attract-mode and chose another game, the old MAME is stopped then and another instance is started, but with the same symptoms.

So, I'm not sure if my problems are Catalina related, but since I'm using Catalina for setting up attractmode for the first time, I'm posting it here.

I did everything as indicated in the previous posts and attractmode launches just fine and I could configure MAME. I'm seeing all the ROMs and Snapshots I'm using so all the paths must be set up correctly, but when I start a game, attract-mode's window goes black for a few seconds and then I'm back at game selection. There's is no attempt at lauching MAME. I'm abel to launch MAME manually and everything works fine.

What am I missing here?

I read the file and it is perfectly up and running but in my theme and robospin it behaves strangely. In the jedione video, the plugin makes Spinwheel spin for a long time and smoothly, while mine barely rotates.  :(

Perhaps it was using the experimental branch, which posed a few issues that I resolved by eliminating the “cycling” and instead “jumping”. Been trying to balance personal life, work, and creating an attract fork. Once things settle down, ill be back onto modules.

Some changes on the wiki. Check it out and let me know what you guys think. The reference section still needs in markdown links edited, but is mostly completed. It was a larger task than I thought.

Excellent work on the wiki Keil. "signal_str" in Signals is a bit outdated (the official wiki is outdated too). Some signals are missing e.g. "edit_game".

Q:  new to what you are doing...so when u chang somthing, and make a commit is their a place
were i can download the newly compiled AM,  or will i need to learn how to do that my self?

I haven't made any major commits to the attract repo yet. I’m hoping subs can help me with the CI. I attempted to auto compile linux binary, but it failed. Once the major platforms are compiling, ill let you guys know how to obtain them and then work on adding in layouts/modules/plugins. Everything takes time.
