quick update,, on pie3  1.7vs  - 4:3

the code needs to be updated for vid's and images to show.. change from artwork to image.

it's posted in kents latest theme ,,,,   but here is the code in a .nut file

how it works...   drop this "timer.nut" file in your theme
then add this to the end of your "layout.nut" file in your theme


after your good togo,   if needed....though..   just ajust,,   time,,,   position,,   and font,,,    as necessary K.

how to add a custom loading screen for every game that you have..

at some point we have all wanted a custom loading screen..
so when i saw the plugin for this i thought..ok
but one only!  common relay......

OK so this was trial an error,  but i found out how to

thanks to "Keilmillerjr's" plugin

#1 steps..  goto "sticky" modules and plugin gallery
download "fadetogame plugin"

#2 put in "plugins" folder

#3 open AM & "tab" "plugin" enable plugin.nut ,,save & exit

#4 goto "plugins folder" now edit "plugin.nut ,, edit this line to....

shade = fe.add_artwork("title", 0, 0, fe.layout.width, fe.layout.height); 

#5 goto "scraper" folder add new folder with system name ie: snes
in this folder add , "newfolder" > title

#6 in the new folder "snes > title" add your custum loading screen pic
and name it just like you would for snaps or videos  ie: Contra III - The Alien Wars.png

done, now when you start game it will show your custom loading screen for that game...

notes: in the plugin menu u can change the start time,,and exit time
now u need to set this to your prefrence
mine is.

to game run time       3000
from game time         500

ie: 3 sec
ie: 1/2 sec

just put the code into the layout.nut file of the theme that is being used as your display-menu
then drop an mp3 file into the layout,  make sure to rename it of course!

yes  flv "flash" kind of works but not good at all,  the colors get weird and speed is funky

sprites take some work aligning,   but work great

Got this working on my cab, I needed to increase the charsize from 18 to 30 to make it read easier on my 21" CRT at 15khz, Is it possible to get rid of the index numbers on the left hand side?
They seem unnecessary, for me anyway.

I’d love to see a picture of how this theme looks on your crt. 8)

take out the entries with ""[ListEntry]"" there ar abought 4 or five....

just use grid pro display-menu for all the 3 or 4  layers that u need.
1.grid-pro as menu with your emulators
2.grid-pro as normal theme for your catagories,
3.grid-pro as your nested sub catagories with the games as seen here with plugin's

alter each theme with the proper icons, and put in some intuitive grafix for your
"back to previous" that you have to have.   should work fine.

sounds like somthing kent would do after hereing about it...hell i m thinking i might have a stab
at it i like the idea,

sorry ,, here is what you do,
go to your "attract.cfg" edit this line to.
scrape_overview      yes save
now go start AM "tab">emulators,  your emulator
now rescrape!
after rescraping you will now have the game info when you press down,

it puts a file under      IE: "romlists" > nestopia > Addams Family, The (USA).cfg

so if you go to arcadepunks, u will find
the latest full release from HarrisonHacks
pc NES attractmode by dave baker---davbak    vs came out abought 4 days ago
it has all boxart, roms and latest tweeked Nes Classic Edition for attractmode

now pick it apart!

i took the roms and boxart  and theme from it, and put them into my PI-3
and it works great!
